Hordle Parish Council has a Vacancy for a Groundsman

A Working Charge Hand is required to carry out the inspection and maintenance of Sports & Recreation grounds with Play Parks, Woodlands and other Parish land and assets in the villages of Tiptoe, Hordle and Everton. It is essential that you have experience of grounds work with the ability to work on your own initiative and to direct and supervise staff. You will be a good communicator and able to liaise successfully with contractors.  Experience of chain saw, power tools and spraying equipment required. Qualifications preferred or the willingness to undertake training.

If you meet the above requirements, enjoy working outside, would like to maintain Parish Land to a high standard and want to come and join a small and friendly team we would love to hear from you.

This post is for up to 30 hours per week to include some weekend working and the applicants must be able to meet the travel and physical requirements of the role. Salary £17,000 to £18,000 per annum pro rata dependant on experience.

Notice of vacancy for a Councillor Hordle Parish Council ( Hordle Ward )

Notice is hereby given.  A casual vacancy has arisen for a Councillor for Hordle Parish Council   ( Hordle Ward ). An election will be held to fill the vacancy if ten electors from the Parish write to the Returning Officer, New Forest District Council, Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, SO43 7 PA by 23 May 2017

If no election is called the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

Guide Leaders and Helpers Required.

Girl Guiding Leaders and/or Helpers required to run a very successful and thriving Guide Unit (10 to 14 years old girls) in Hordle.

Due to the main Leader of this unit having moved we are currently seeking Volunteers to help support and run the unit with the existing 3 adult members.  Programmes to help with running the unit are supplied by Girl guiding UK and support with training etc is given by the local network within the District.  If you feel that you could spare a couple of hours per week to help run this unit please contact Mrs Carole Deacon, District Commissioner on either 01590 678986 or email: Crazy.CaroleD@hotmail.co.uk
